Summary from Goodreads:
Nineteen-year-old Mora is on a mission to save her village from the relentless greyskins, and there is only one man that can help her, Jeremiah of Screven. As she travels the wastelands, she discovers a power within herself, a power she believes no other human possesses. That is, until she meets others like her – the ones who call themselves the Starborn. These super-humans are on a mission also: to destroy the undead greyskins, and take down the greedy Jeremiah. Mora must now choose between the one who can keep her family safe, and those that can show her who she truly is.
My Review:
Out of Darkness is a gripping, interesting dystopian with zombie like creatures. I really enjoyed reading it.

Mora is a teenage girl on a mission to save her village from the greyskins (zombie like creatures). Her parents are dead and now it's up to her to find a way to keep her brother and grandmother alive and safe. She sets out to seek help from Jeremiah, the leader of Screven. Along the way she encounters a herd of greyskins. This leads her to discovering that she has super human powers. She ends up in another colony where she comes into contact with others like her, the Starborn. Mora must decide who she can trust while learning about her new powers.

This is where I really started to enjoy the book even more. The first couple of chapters gave a background of what the world Mora lives in is like. It was also somewhat creepy reading about the greyskins. The story became more interesting to read as it went on. I found myself not wanting to stop reading. It is full of action, suspense and a bit of romance here and there with a love triangle threw into the mix. The story is well written with interesting and likeable characters. I am looking forward to reading the sequel after the cliffhanger ending from this one. I will be reading more from this author in the future. This e-book was provided to me by the author for review. This did not affect my review in any way.
