Summary from Goodreads:
The d’Vile clan is the example of dishonorable ninja. Their power comes through deception, stealing every advantage they can find- even against each other. So when the master becomes deathly ill, can he rely on his own clan to save him?

LoN Minis: ‘The Kiss’, ‘The Taken’ and ‘The d’Vile’, are short stories based on characters from the Legend of a Ninja series. These are stand alone stories but at the same time they are connected to events found in the ‘Beneath the Shadows’ and ‘Rise of the Shadowsalve’ full novels. They can be read in any order.

My Review:
LoN Minis: The d'Vile is a short story that is part of the Legend of a Ninja series. I have enjoyed each one of these stories and am hoping there are more written in the future.

Saydin and Kika are part of the d'Vile ninja clan along with their fathers. They scheme and have tried many times to escape their fathers and the clan. When Saydin's father becomes deathly ill they decide that this is their chance. Saydin doesn't want to see his father die and he also thinks if he saves his life this will be a way out of the clan for himself and Kika. He learns of a cursed magical apple that he can get from the Kait clan that will cure his father. The problem is getting it. Saydin soon finds a solution with Pagen from another clan or so he thinks. She has her conditions though before she will help him. Will Saydin get the apple to save his father or will he find himself in more danger and trouble than he bargained for?

This is a very quick read being a short story but it is still filled with plenty of action. I like reading about these characters and all the messes that they find themselves in. I also enjoy learning about ninjas through these stories. I hope this author continues with this series. This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way.
