My Review:
This is the second full novel book in this series. There are also some short stories that I have enjoyed as well.

Leena and Darwin are seeking help from some of the other ninja clans. Leena wants to make a clan of her own. She recruits Rumble and names her clan the Shadowsalve after Darwin's last name. Now she just needs to get the Order to recognize them as a ninja clan. Things don't go the way she planned though. She seems to find herself in more messes than she can handle. When one of her plans does not go well she finds herself saying that she is bonded to Darwin. This little piece of information sets off more ninjas and even starts somewhat of a war. Leena is not sure who she can trust anymore. Some of the more unlikely people turn out to be more help than she thought.

I really enjoyed getting to know more of the characters in this book. I liked that the author didn't just focus on a few characters but we got to hear from other ones than just the main characters. I did find that so many characters and clans together in one book did get confusing at times. I had to take a few minutes and think about who the person was and what clan they belonged to. Other than that I really liked it. There is some romance, along with suspense and a lot of action. There are many surprises throughout too. I hope the author continues to write stories from this series, whether it be short stories or full length novels. This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way.
