Summary from Goodreads:
A big surprise at the Elven kingdom holds new challenges for Marin. Favian has a brother she never knew about and he looks exactly like Favian! Her goal of becoming a protector and of finding her true father will be determined, but is she ready for these next chapters in her life? How can she protect those she loves when she constantly puts them in harm’s way? All will be answered in the second installment of the Little Death Bringer Series.

My Review:
I absolutely fell in love with Protector. I thought I really enjoyed the first book in this series Mercenary but Protector took the story to a whole new level. If I could give it more than five starts I would. It's that good!

Marin and Favian are splitting their time between the elf kingdom and going out on missions to kill ogres. While at the kingdom Marin comes in contact with who she thinks is Favian only to find out that it is his identical twin brother Sebastian. As you are probably thinking yes this does cause some problems. But Marin is more focused on becoming a Protector and killing as many ogres as she can. While at the same time she wants to find out who her real father is and what she is apart from being human. I think I was as shocked and as confused as Marin when she finds out some things from her past. She is also trying to keep Favian from finding out that she is in love with him, while it seems everyone in the kingdom knows this already. But that doesn't stop the males from wanting to court her.

Protector is full of action, suspense, lots of twists and turns and some romance. It will keep you on your toes from start to finish. There is just so much that we learn in this one but so much more to find out in the next installment too. The ending is truly magical. I could just keep gushing about this one all day. I just really loved it and hope I don't have to wait to long for the next book. This is one of those stories that I want to read over and over.
