Summary from Goodreads:
They say every town has its secrets, but that doesn’t even begin to describe Whispering Pines. The townsfolk are a superstitious lot and the mystical disappearance of a local teen has everyone murmuring about a centuries old witch’s curse…

Sixteen-year-old Shiloh Ravenwolf is a heritage witch from the Broussard family, a family both destined and cursed. After she takes a summer job at Ravenhurst Manor, she discovers a ghost with an agenda. That’s where she meets the new town hottie, Trent Donovan. But Trent may be the next victim on the supernatural hit list, and Shiloh is the only person with the power to save him.

Complicated much?

After receiving cryptic messages from a creepy wraith, and then frightening threats from a demon, Shiloh finally begins to understand the mysterious significance of the strange mark branded on her wrist. Now Shiloh must decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice to protect the other teenagers in town.

Unfortunately, for Shiloh, not all ghosts want help crossing over. Some want vengeance.

My Review:
Beautifully Broken is a great first book in the Spellbound series. It's about this teenage girl named Shiloh Ravenwolf who lives in the spooky town of Whispering Pines. The locals say think there is a dark witch's curse.

In the beginning Shiloh does not know she is a heritage witch. She sees shadows, shades and just creepy ghosts who seem to haunt her everywhere she goes. Her parents are very secretive and don't want some of her family around her. Towards the end of the school year she takes a summer job at the Ravenhurst manor, which is also the local haunted house. She gets to be part of the renovation project which she loves because she dreams of becoming an architect. The night of the interview she finds out the new hot guy in town lives there, Trent Donavon. This makes her want the job even more.

To stay with creepy, there is a ghost who seems to need Shiloh's help and a demon who just wants her soul. And lets not forget the mystical disappearance of local teens.

I really enjoyed reading this book. If you read my reviews you know I love romance in a book. Well this one has paranormal romance going on. I loved how Shiloh and Trent's relationship progressed, it was sweet and mysterious. I liked how they were just normal teenagers when they were hanging out even though they both have dark secrets.

At times the book was a bit creepy but that is what makes it more enjoyable. There is a lot going on in this one. The story progressed at a good pace with romance, mystery, suspense and lots of paranormal activity going on. The characters are realistic and likeable. I really liked it and will definitely be continuing with this series.
